About Us
Cricket Valley Energy Center (CVEC) is a natural gas-fired power plant currently in operations on an industrially zoned site off Route 22 in Dover, New York.
The fully-permitted facility can generate 1,100 megawatts (MW) of electricity, enough to power 1 million homes. The 193-acre property is surrounded by a substantial tree buffer that minimizes visual and noise impacts while preserving wetlands and forests around the Swamp River. CVEC is located on a previously abandoned industrial site that was a blight to Dover. CVEC has completed extensive investments in environmental remediation and construction and restored the site to provide opportunity for economic revitalization, job creation and tax revenue for the Town of Dover.
CVEC is owned by a consortium of equity investors. EthosEnergy Group operates the facility and Advanced Power is the active asset manager of CVEC.
