Cricket Valley Energy Center (CVEC) is working with local authorities to ensure construction-related traffic is managed for safety and mobility. Train shuttle service encourages construction staff to use public transportation for their work commute, and a detailed traffic plan was included as a part of the EIS and permitting process.
Traffic impacts are expected to be minimal when the project is operational. CVEC will employ up to 28 permanent employees who will generate approximately 23 round trips of traffic per day. In addition, five trips of truck deliveries can be expected each day.
Aside from acceleration and deceleration lanes on Route 22, no new roads will be built, eliminating the need for additional maintenance service by the Dover Town Highway Department.
